| AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) was established
in 1987 and is the largest community based HIV/AIDS medical provider in
the nation and operates many programs including Out of the Closet thrift
stores.
AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) is the largest AIDS service organization in California, providing services to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles County. Being Alive – People with HIV/AIDS Action CoalitionEstablished in 1986 offers a comprehensive set of peer-based social services, delivered by and for people living with HIV infection. Services include: emotional support; wellness center; social events; education; advocacy; prevention for positives; and a speakers bureau. www.beingalivela.org L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center (LAGLC) is the largest gay and lesbian organization in the world and offers the widest array of services to gay men and lesbians anywhere. The Saban Free Clinic believes health care and human services are a right, not a privilege, and has been providing high quality medical, dental, legal, and social services to the greater Los Angeles area since 1967. Van Ness Recovery House is the nation’s oldest recovery house for the gay, lesbian, bisexual & transgender community. Van Ness provides 90-day residential treatment, HIV testing and a prevention education program. www.vnrh.org |
